I love how you're excited for every new animal you see. I'm really not good at building but I love these kind of casual modpacks so I'm excited for your playthrough :D. Another tip for something I noticed: You can hold right click with the Vine Lasso so throw it further. so you don't have to stand directly next to the mob you want to catch, which would be usefull if you ever want to put hostile creatures into your zoo.
